History

Shenshinovka New is mentioned in the list of populated areas of the Russian Empire of 500 or more inhabitants, compiled from the 1897 census . According to the 1897 census, 864 residents lived in the village, all Orthodox . The village belonged to the Nikolaev district of the Samara province [2]

According to the List of Populated Places of the Samara Province in 1910, the village of Shinshinovka belonged to the Lubitsky volost , the village was inhabited by former state peasants , mainly Russian , Orthodox, 647 men and 597 women, the village had a church , a parish school, and 5 windmills [3] .

From 1935 to 1960, the village belonged to the Klintsovsky district of the Saratov region . As part of the Pugachevsky district - since 1960.

Physico-geographical characteristics

The village is located in the Volga region , on the right bank of the Bolshaya Chalykla river (the left tributary of the Kamelik river) [4] . The height of the center of the village is 34 meters above sea level [5] . Soils: in the Kamelika floodplain - floodplain neutral and slightly acidic, above the floodplain: on the left side of the river valley - meadow solonetzes (semi-hydromorphic) and meadow chestnut, on the right side - southern chernozems [6] .

The village is located in the south-eastern part of the Pugachev district, about 55 km in a straight line from the district center of the city of Pugachev . By road, the distance to the regional center is 72 km, to the regional center of the city of Saratov - 300 km, to Samara - 250 km [7] .
