Story
At the carnival, circus cat Nipp calls everyone to today's performance, the dancer's dance Minnie Mouse . At this time, the seller of hot dogs Mickey repeats the melody of Nippa's song, who is angry and pulls Mickey's nose. Mickey gets upset, but straightens his nose right away. Mickey shows Nippu's tongue, he gets angry and pounces on Mickey, but he manages to escape with a cart. At this time, the dancer Minnie comes out of the trailer and smells the smell of a hot dog, she calls Mickey. He goes and Minnie tries to give him money to buy a hot dog, but Mickey refuses and gives her a hot dog for free. Minnie is happy and is biting her sausage. But suddenly the sausage jumps out of the bun and tries to run away, Mickey catches him and hits the pope. Sausage cries and bites off Mickey's finger.
At night, when the carnival ended and everyone was already asleep, Mickey and two stray cats sing Minnie’s Sweet Adeline night serenade. Nipp wakes up and starts throwing different things at them. Thus, he gets a pot into the cats, and Mickey violin, breaking his guitar.
Cinema Value
"The Fair Seller" was the first cartoon where Mickey articulately speaks. In earlier short films, he whistled, laughed and hummed, but here the creators of the film for the first time managed to sufficiently synchronize the picture and sound to allow the character to speak in the frame. Mickey was voiced by Walt Disney himself - moreover, he does not yet speak of the famous falsetto, the mouse has a rather low voice. The first words spoken by this cartoon character were: “Hot dogs! Hot dogs! ”
