History

The village of Stepanovschina is mentioned on the map of the St. Petersburg province of F. F. Schubert in 1834 [2] .

STEPANOVSHCHINA - the village belongs to Mrs. Zabelina, the number of inhabitants under the audit: 17 m., 24 w. p. [3] (1838)

The village of Stepanovschina is marked on the map of Professor S. S. Kutorgi in 1852 [4] .

STEPANOVSHCHINA - the village of Mrs. Zabelina, on a country road, the number of yards - 4, the number of souls - 20 m. [5] (1856)


STEPANOVSHCHINA - the owner's village on the Narova River, the number of yards - 5, the number of inhabitants: 18 m., 26 w. paragraph [6] . (1862 year)

In the XIX century, the village administratively belonged to the 1st camp, at the beginning of the XX century to the Dobruchinsky volost of the 1st zemsky section of the 4th camp of the Gdovsky district of the St. Petersburg province.

According to the Memorial Book of the St. Petersburg Province in 1905, the village of Stepanovschina (state) was part of the Kuykinsky Rural Society [7] .

From 1917 to 1920, the village was part of the Skaryatinsky volost of the Gdovsky district.

Since 1920, as part of Estonia .

Since 1940, as part of the Estonian SSR .

Since 1944, as part of the Zagrivsky village council of the Slantsevsky district of the Leningrad region.

Since 1963, in the Kingisepp district .

As of August 1, 1965, the village of Stepanovschina was part of the Zagrivsky village council of Kingisepp district [8] . Since November 1965, again as part of the Slantsevsky district [9] .

According to the data of 1973 and 1990, the village of Stepanovschina was part of the Zagrivsky village council of the Slantsy district [10] [11] .

In 1997, 65 people lived in the village of Stepanovschina, Zagrivsky volost, in 2002 - 59 people (Russians - 91%) [12] [13] .

In 2007, 80 people lived in the village of Stepanovschina of the Zagrivsky Joint Venture , in 2010 - 94 [14] [15] .

Geography

The village is located in the western part of the region west of the highway 41K-164 ( Slates - Three ).

The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 3 km [14] .

The distance to the railway platform Slates - 23 km [8] .

The village is located on the right bank of the Narva River.
