Shakhriyar Mamedyarov - winner of the 4th memorial V. Gashimov

The Gashimov Memorial of 2017 is the fourth international chess tournament in memory of the Azerbaijani super grandmaster Vugar Gashimov , which was held in Shamkir from April 20 to May 1. The winner of the competition for the second year in a row was Shakhriyar Mamedyarov , repeating the achievement of world champion Magnus Carlsen [1] .

Rules

  • Time control: 2 hours for 40 moves, then 1 hour for 20 moves and 15 minutes until the end of the game with the addition of 30 seconds for each move starting from the 61st.
