Description
The village is located in the central part of the district on the Ata River (a tributary of the Small Cheremshan River ) 15 km south of the village. Bazaar Mataki .
The village was the administrative center of the Alkeevsky region from the date of its formation on August 10, 1930 and until 1937 (according to other sources - until 1933 [1] ).
From February 19, 1944 to December 6, 1956 it was part of the Yukhmachinsky district , from February 1, 1963 to January 11, 1965 it belonged to the Kuibyshevsky (now Spassky ) district [2] .
