Biography
Born April 12, 1964 .
He holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics and a Ph.D. from St Edmund Hall, Oxford University, for his work on numerical analysis . [1] He works as a software engineer at Cambridge Silicon Radio, a fabless company. [2]
Until May 2007, he worked as a community consultant in the village of Coton, Cambridgeshire (near Cambridge ). He was a Green Party candidate for the Council of South Cambridgeshire and the Council of Cambridgeshire .
Until December 2007, Connolly was a senior fellow in the physical sciences department of the Antarctic Climate project at the British Antarctic Survey . His research focused on the study and modeling of sea ice , including in the general circulation model . He worked to verify satellite data based on the location in the Weddell Sea , finding out that Bootstrap is much more accurate than NASA data. [3]

William Connolly is the author and co-author of articles and reviews in the field of climatological research with a focus on the Antarctic climate and the study of sea ice. He was a member of the blog until 2007. The newspaper Christian Science Monitor noted in 2007 that he had authored a number of articles on his personal website and on the RealClimate.org website that are trying to clarify the place of global cooling in the history of science. In 2003, Connolly began editing articles on the English Wikipedia, being the administrator there from 2006 to 2009. Became one of the most cited in the media of its authors, especially in the field of climate change. Cited by one of the most respected journals - Nature . In 2007, the London newspaper The Sunday Times published an interview with , where the author discussed with Connolly his activities on Wikipedia, in which he called William an expert on global warming.
