History
The village of Ivanovka is mentioned in the List of Populated Places of Nikolaev County according to information for 1823. According to the List, Bolshaya Ivanovka was a volost village of the Ivanovo volost of the Nikolaev district of the Samara province . The village was inhabited by 4160 inhabitants. The land allotment was 13034 tithes of comfortable and 311 tithes of uncomfortable land. In the village there were volost government, a zemstvo school, a church, a bazaar, 17 windmills, 2 forges, a military equestrian site, a zemstvo station, 3 fairs were held [2] . According to the 1897 census, 4,518 people lived in Ivanovka, 4514 Orthodox Christians [3]
According to the List of Populated Places of the Samara Province in 1910, the village was inhabited by former state peasants , Russians , Orthodox, 2516 men and 2606 women, the village had a volost government, a credit partnership, a church, a parish and parochial school, a zemstvo station, 21 windmills , 3 fairs, bazaars on Sundays, a paramedic and a policeman worked [4] .
Physico-geographical characteristics
The village is located in the Volga region , on the Chernava River (the left tributary of the Small Irgiz River ) [5] . The height of the center of the village is 65 meters above sea level [6] . The soils are southern chernozems [7] .
The village is located about 16 km in a southeast direction from the district center of the village of Ivanteyevka . The highway Ivanteevka - Kanaevka passes through the village. By road, the distance to the regional center is 17 km, to the regional center of the city of Saratov - 290 km, to Samara - 160 km [8] .
