Storrs L. Olson (b. April 3, 1944) - American biologist, ornithologist and paleo- ornithologist. One of the most titled ornithologists in the world.

Scientific contribution
In 2006, together with D. B. Wingate, he described the extinct heron Nyctanassa carcinocatactes that lived in Bermuda on the remains.
In 1970-1971 on the islands of Ascension and St. Helena discovered extinct species of Porzana astrictocarpus and Upupa antaios .
Several species of prehistoric birds, including Nycticorax olsoni [1] , Himantopus olsoni [2] , Puffinus olsoni [3] , Primobucco olsoni [4] , Gallirallus storrsolsoni [5] and Quercypodargus olsoni [6] are named after Olson.
Personal life
Since 2006 divorced, since 2008 retired. His ex-wife, Helen F. James, whom they married in 1981, is also a major specialist in ornithology and paleontology. For a long time they were colleagues.
