Chelyabenergo is a production association of energy and electrification (in 1942-2005), which generated, distributed and sold electricity in the Chelyabinsk region. Since 2005, it has been a branch of the distribution network company IDGC of Urals and Volga, JSC, which carries out the transfer of electricity through electric networks and technological connection of consumers to electric networks in the territory of the Chelyabinsk region. Since 2007, the company was renamed into IDGC of Urals, JSC . [2] [3]

History
The Chelyabenergo District Energy Administration (REU) was created in July 1942 when the Ural energy system (Glavvostokenergo) was divided into three independent systems, including also Permenergo and Sverdlovenergo . The first manager of Chelyabenergo was I. I. Bondarev. [four]
In 1954, by order of the Ministry of Power Plants of the USSR dated 04/27/1954 No. 8 / а, Chelyabinsk heating networks ("Heating network") were created as part of the Chelyabenergo REU, in 1962 the Chelyabinsk TPP-2 was commissioned and in 1965 it was transferred to a voltage of 500 kV line Troitskaya state district power station-Shagol. On February 18, 1993, the production association was privatized and transformed into Chelyabenergo, an open joint-stock company of energy and electrification, the controlling stake in the company was transferred to the management of RAO UES of Russia . In 1996 (April 1), the first power unit of the new CHPP-3 was commissioned. [four]
In 2005, in accordance with the plan for reforming the electric power industry, Chelyabenergosbyt, Chelyabinsk Generating Company, which later became part of TGK-10, and Yuzhnouralskaya State District Power Station, were separated from Chelyabenergo. The network complexes of the Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Kurgan regions and the Perm Territory, as well as the network complex of Yekaterinburg, became part of IDGC of Urals and Volga, JSC.
After changing the outline of the functional responsibility of IDGC of Urals and Volga, JSC on August 14, 2007 it was renamed to IDGC of Urals, JSC. On April 30, 2008 Chelyabenergo OJSC was reorganized; since May 1, 2008 it has been operating as a branch of IDGC of Urals OJSC .

Main activity
Currently, the branch of IDGC of Urals, JSC - Chelyabenergo, is transmitting electric energy through distribution networks of 0.4-110 kV. The main objective is to ensure the reliable functioning and development of the regional distribution grid complex, as well as connecting new consumers to the distribution grids of the company. The Chelyabenergo branch provides power to industrial enterprises and the public on a total area of 87.9 thousand square kilometers with a population of 3.5 million people. The branch operates 308 substations of 35-220 kV, 9246 transformer substations of 6-10 kV and 41 537 km of overhead and cable power lines with a voltage class of 0.4-110 kV.

Chelyabenergo includes 5 production divisions:
Chelyabinsk city electric networks Service territory - Chelyabinsk city district, including 5 regions of electric networks (RES): Central, Leninsky, Traktorozavodsky, Kurchatovsky and Soviet RES.
Central electric networks Service territory: Argayashsky, Etkulsky, Emanzhelinsky, Kaslinsky, Korkinsky, Krasnoarmeysky, Kunashaksky, Nyazepetrovsky and Sosnovsky municipal areas; Verkhneufaleysky, Karabashsky, Kopeysky, Kyshtymsky, Ozersky, Miasssky, Snezhinsky and Chelyabinsk urban districts, - as a part of 11 RES: Argayashsky, Ufaleysky, Emanzhelinsky, Yetkulsky, Kaslinsky, Krasnoarmeysky, Chyaznovsky, Nyazet.
Zlatoust electric networks Service territory: Ashinsky, Katav-Ivanovsky, Kusinsky, Satkinsky, Uysky and Chebarkulsky municipal areas; Zlatoust, Miass and Ust-Katavsky urban districts, - as a part of 8 RES: Zlatoust and Zlatoust city, Kusinsky, Miass, Satkinsky, Uysky, Chebarkulsky and Yuryuzansky RES.
Magnitogorsk electric networks Service territory: Magnitogorsk, Kartaly, Verkhneuralsk, Agapovka village, Kizilskoye village, pos. Delirium, pos. Nagaybaksky), - as a part of 7 RES: Agapovsky, Bredinsky, Verkhneuralsky, Kartalinsky, Kizilsky, Magnitogorsk and Nagaybaki RES.
Trinity electric networks Service territory: Varna, October, Plastovsky, Troitsky, Uvelsky and Chesmensky municipal districts, - as a part of 6 RES: Varna, October, Plastovsky, Troitsky, Uvelsky and Chesmensky RES.
