Biography
Born on September 3, 1893 in Kazan . He graduated in 1924 from the Moscow Agricultural Academy named after K. A. Timiryazev with a degree in hydraulic engineering. Member of World War II . He worked in water management institutions in Central Asia and the Caucasus . Head of the department at the Omsk Agricultural University , taught at the Kiev Institute of Irrigation and Reclamation . In 1945-1948 he worked in the section of water management problems of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. In 1962-1967, he worked at Kiev University as the head of the Department of Land Hydrology (now Hydrology and Hydroecology) of the Faculty of Geography. At the same time, he headed the department at the Institute of Hydrology and Hydrotechnics of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (now the Institute of Hydromechanics of the NAS of Ukraine ).
Scientific Papers
Field of research: dynamics of the coasts of the seas and reservoirs, in particular, the theory of hydrodynamics of the coastal zone of action of wind waves on hydraulic structures and banks, as well as the circulation of two-phase flows in pipelines and rivers. He developed methods for protecting coasts from flooding and erosion, as well as protecting water intakes and ports from siltation and skidding. Created a new scientific direction - the dynamics of the shores of reservoirs. The author of about 200 scientific papers. The main works:
