Kachkovsky Karl G. ( Polish. Karol Maciej Kaczkowski ; 1797 in Warsaw - October 2, 1867 ) - Polish doctor and ethnographer, professor at the University of Warsaw.

After completing the course at the University of Vilna, he was assigned to the 1st Grenadier Infantry Regiment as a doctor. Having defended his thesis at the University of Vilna: "De plicae polonicae in varias, praeter pilos, corporis humani partes vi et effectu", in 1821 he received the degree of doctor of medicine.
In 1823, at the local lyceum, I read public lectures on hygiene, which were published as a separate book: "Lekcye hygieny czyli nauki zachowania zdrowia, wykladane publicznie od r. 1823 w liceum wolynskiem, Warszawa 1826. 2 t."
In 1825, he traveled to the Crimea , which resulted in his work: "Dziennik podrozy do Krymu odbytéj w r. 1825. Warsz. 1829". (4 volumes).
In 1829 he was transferred to the University of Warsaw as a professor of therapy.
In 1832 he traveled to Lviv and, on his return in 1835, practiced in several southern cities of the Russian Empire.
In Zhytomyr in 1858, he founded the Society of Volyn doctors and was the first chairman of this society. He had great prestige and recognition in society and professional circles. He published a number of articles in Polish medical and natural sciences for the years 1827-1846. He, still a student, published a satirical magazine "Verba Veritatis".
