Biography
Born in a peasant family. Since 1906, he worked at private enterprises in the cities of Bialystok and St. Petersburg as an apprentice fitter.
In 1915-1917 - in the Russian imperial army , a participant in the First World War .
In 1917, having returned from the front, he joined the ranks of the Red Guard of Petrograd. He served as a Red Guard volunteer of the First Vasileostrovsky Red Regiment, was a company commander and division commander in the Red Army . Member of the Civil War in Russia .
Member of the RCP (b) since 1918 .
Since 1923 - on managing economic work. For thirteen years he worked as the director of cotton factories in the city of Leningrad, the director of the melange factory in the city of Ivanovo ( RSFSR ) and the director of the Krenholm manufactory in the city of Narva of the Estonian SSR .
Then - in leadership work in the People's Commissariat ( Ministry ) of the Light Industry of the USSR .
In 1949 and until January 8, 1952 - Minister of Light Industry of the Ukrainian SSR . He died in 1957 in Leningrad, was buried in the Theological Cemetery.
