Khachak - surname and princely family of Adyghe (Circassian) origin. Literally, the surname Khachak (Hekakaku) from the Adyghe language is translated as "going to visit or guests." Initially, the clan lived in the area of the village of Vardane , Lazarevsky district of Sochi. In 1864, after the final conclusion of the Caucasian War , part of the family was evicted to the Ottoman Empire . The rest of the Khachak clan was resettled in the Hryvnia-Circassian village, whose Adyghe name is (Adyg.) Grunekhabl. [1] , territorially located on the territory of Temryuk district . In the period from 1888 to 1892, the Hryvnia-Cheresskaya village was liquidated, its inhabitants were resettled. [2] As a result of the described events, the part of the Khachak clan living in Russia was actually divided into 3 independent branches, settled in the territory of the present Republic of Adygea : 1) Starobrzhegokai aul, Takhtamukaysky district ; 2) aul Afipsip Takhtamukaysky district ; 3) aks of Assokolay and Dzhidzhihabl of the Teuchezhsky area
