Biography
Born in Mashhad . He began to sing (quote the Quran ) at the age of 5 under the guidance of his father. At the age of 12, he began to study traditional chants “ radioph ” without the consent of the family. His religious father did not approve of the singer’s career, so Muhammad chose the pseudonym “Siavas Bidakani”, but later returned to his real name. He began his professional career in 1959 on Khorasan Radio and achieved fame in the 1960s. After that, he was accepted as a teacher at the Faculty of Arts at Tehran University . He was influenced by a number of famous Iranian singers. In a 2012 interview, he determined that Jalil Shahnaz had the greatest influence on him. For the life of Shajarian created 19 albums. [2]
Political Opinions
The Bidaad album contains words about a beautiful place that has turned into a slaughterhouse. In a 2012 interview with Sacramento, he notes that he chose these words to describe the regime in Iran after the Islamic Revolution . He also demanded to stop broadcasting his song “Iran, the country of hope” on radio and television, as it has nothing to do with the situation in the country.
Rewards
He received several awards including the Mozart Medal of UNESCO (2006), the French Order of Merit (2014). Nominated for a Grammy in 2004 and 2006.
