Description

Being distant descendants of the Autobots , maxima, like their ancestors, venerate peaceful life above all else and have long reconciled with the predons , descendants of the Decepticons . (Among the latter, however, there are still many who consider the maximal “ usurpers ” and secretly dream of revenge; one of the dissatisfied is Megatron - a descendant and namesake of the leader of the Decepticons).

Maximums are much smaller than their ancestors - their sizes are only slightly larger than human ones (this is explained by the fact that smaller forms consume much less energy ).

Beast Wars / Beast Machines

Emblem of Maximalov

The first maxima presented in the animated series were crew members of the Axalon starship, headed by Optimus Primal , who was chasing a group of predacons fleeing from Cybertron (led by Megatron) to the distant planet Energoys (later known as Earth ). To survive in a world full of unstable energy, the maxima created defensive forms by scanning local living creatures. Almost all maxima have chosen the forms of mammalian animals and birds as alternative modes. Some of the maxima are former predacons (for example: Dinobot)

The Axalon also contained many protoforms - “blanks” of transformers, whose bodies needed to be given an alternative regime so that they gained self-awareness and a certain constant look. Although at first these protoforms remained in the orbit of the planet, they all fell onto the planet at the beginning of the second season (and some before). Some protoforms also became maxima, and some were captured by reprograms and pre-reprogrammed by them.

Returning after the Beast Wars to Cybertron , Primeal and his team, to their horror, found that they are now the only maxima on the planet, since all the others died as a result of the defeat of the technovirus invented by Megatron. They were threatened with the same fate, but when they came into contact with the Oracle , Cybertron's oldest computer , they received new techno-organic forms that could withstand the virus.
