Aoi Teshima (手 嶌 葵 Aoi Teshima, born June 21, 1987 in Hakata-ku, Fukuoka) is a Japanese singer and vocal actress . She is known for taking part in the creation of animated films by the famous artist and director Miyazaki Goro , including the film “ Tales of the Earthsea ” and “From up on Poppy Hill”.

Career
While Aoi Tashima went to the C&S Academy of Music in Fukuoka, she began her musical career as an amateur in 2003 . In 2003 and 2004 , she took part in the DIVA music event, which was held in Fukuoka, as part of the Teenagers Music Festival.
In March 2005, she took part in the Japan-Korea World of Slow Music festival in South Korea and her performance was favorably received by the audience. Her performance attracted the attention of anime director Miyazaki Goro . Producer Suzuki Toshio was also very impressed when he listened to a demo of her song .
On June 7, 2006, she finally released a song called (テ ル ー の 唄 Terū no Uta). This song was used in the film directed by Miyazaki Goro " Tales of the Earth Sea", in which she also voiced the character Theru.
She also provided her songs for the Nintendo game.
In 2011, she again collaborated with Miyazaki Goro, where in his film “From up on Poppy Hill” she sang the song “Goodbye Summer” and other songs, as well as voiced the character of Yuko.
On February 10, 2016, she released the first single from his 10th album, Ren'dez-vous, Asu e no Tegami. This song was used in the Japanese drama “Itsuka kono Koi o Omoidashite kitto Naite shimau” and lasted quite a long time on the highest steps of the Billboard Japan Hot 100.
