The device has a significant external and constructive similarity with the Sony PlayStation Vita . In particular, the symbols on the right buttons (cross, circle, square, triangle) correspond exactly to those of the PlayStation family of consoles and are protected as a Sony trademark. However, due to the peculiarities of the Chinese legislation, this did not lead to legal consequences for JXD and its partners.

Description

On the front panel are buttons and joystick controls in games. On the right there is a “Back” and “Menu” button, power indicators and a “Start” button. Power and volume control buttons are brought up, along with headphones, power, HDMI, miniUSB and a reset button. On the right side is a mechanical button to turn on WiFi, like the one that is available in the Sony PlayStation Portable .

The screen of the device has a low resolution for its diagonal, but its quality is not bad by the standards of this class of devices: the colors are almost not distorted at large viewing angles, the color reproduction is of high quality.

The performance of the console is unsatisfactory: the 32-bit single-core AML8726-M3 processor in combination with 512 MB of RAM hardly supports Android, and the Mali 400MP1 video accelerator cannot cope with 3D games. In addition, it is not suitable for resource-intensive emulators of such systems as PSP, PlayStation, Sega Saturn.

Software

The console is running the operating system Google Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandvich, there are no updates to newer versions. Google Play app store preinstalled. In addition, emulators of popular game consoles of the past are installed: Mega Drive , NES , SNES , Nintendo 64 , Game Boy Advance , arcade machines (Mame4Droid).

The modification from the company Turbo pre-installed instant messengers, clients of social networks and mail services: Skype, ICQ, QIP, Gmail, Twitter, VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, as well as the company application store TurboShop.
