Jacob Melchior Ziegler ( German: Jakob Melchior Ziegler ; 1801 - 1883 ) - Swiss geographer and cartographer. His most important works are: Atlas ueber alle Teile der Erde (2nd ed., 1814); "Hypsometr. Atlas "(1856); Hypsemetr. Karte der Schweiz ”(1886), topographic maps of the cantons of St. Gallen and Appenzell (1849-52), Glarus (1859), Engandine (1867 and 1873); "Ueber das Verh a ltniss der Topographie zur Geologie" (1869 and 1876) and others.
