Linnaeus Skog is a Finnish Swede [4] . She was born in the family of theater and film actor Frank Skog, who has been playing on the stage of the Youth Theater in Espoo for many years [3] , and has been in the theater with her father since early childhood [5] . According to Frank Skog, the performances of his father on the stage were seen by all three of his children, however, Linnaeus showed the greatest interest in the theater, and from a very young age. At the same time, Linnaeus wished to be not only a spectator, but also to participate in the affairs of the theater. For many years she participated in the organization of the annual theater festival " ". Frank Skog believes that it was here in Hanko that she “grew up both physically and mentally”; he says that he attracted his daughter to similar matters, including so that she could communicate with the actors, feel the peculiarities of theatrical life and see how sometimes, if necessary, all theater workers, regardless of age and position, work together for 24 hours a day. In general, for a long time he considered his daughter to a greater extent a "director", and therefore was very surprised when she informed him of her desire to become an actress [3] .
Mother Linnei’s grandfather is the famous Finnish film actor [3] . Linnaeus said that she saw many films with his participation and the desire to become a film actress herself arose long before she began acting [5] .
Linnaeus got her first movie role in the police series ; two series with her participation were released in 2015 and 2016.
"A Girl named Warpu"
Linnaeus participated in various auditions many times, but these trips did not give any results for a long time [3] . Because of this, she didn’t want to audition for Selma Vilhunen ’s new film “ A Girl named Warpu ” - her father had to persuade her. According to the memoirs of Linnaeus, she received the main female role in this film, having gone through three stages of listening [6] . Vilhunen said that for the role of the main character, she was looking for a girl who would not only be a talented actress, but also a person with whom she would have some kind of special connection - for Vilhunen this was important for the reason that the film contains elements, related to her own biography [7] .
In addition, Vilhunen wanted the performer of the role of Warpu to be smart - despite her young age. Linnaeus Skog, according to Vilhunen, possessed all these qualities [7] .
The film was shot in 2015 for five weeks (a total of 25 days of filming) [3] . Since Linnae was only 12 years old, her parents actively participated in the filming process. After reading the script, they discussed for a long time with the director of the film how far it is permissible to go so far in the study of life problems when it comes to children. According to the recollections of Laura Karen, the mother of Linnaeus, at some rehearsals, emotions beat over the edge. As Linnaeus said, there was a scene that she did not want to play - and as a result, this scene was never shot. Frank Skog, having twenty years of experience as an actor, helped Linnaeus with the role, especially in complex scenes. According to him, for truthful depictions of emotions, he advised her to use memories of her own emotions. Linnaeus recalled that heavy emotions are not complex on their own, but because they have to be repeated from double to double, "to be sad many times in a row" [3] .
The world premiere of the film took place at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2016 [8] . This was the first full-length feature film directed by Selma Vilhunen - and this debut, according to Canadian critic David D'Arcy, turned out to be charming and realistic, and the young and balanced Linnaeus Skog as a girl to Warp became a revelation of the film. D'Arcy notes that the heroine of Linnaeus is very laconic, but the subdued emotion with which she watches her mother and the real world puts this film on par with such well-known films about teenagers as “ My Dog Life ” ( Sweden, 1985) and Mermaids (USA, 1990), and also recalls Truffaut 's films about Antoine Duanel, which began in 1959 with the famous Four Hits Blows [6] .
It still seems to me that I'm a girl from a small village and a small school.
Jag tycker fortfarande att jag är flickan från den lilla byn och den lilla skolan.
The film participated in more than twenty international film festivals [8] ; presenting the film, Linnaeus visited many cities, including Toronto and Los Angeles [2] (in an interview given in Toronto, she, in particular, said that it was too big a city for her, that she was from Finland, where buildings are not so high [5] ). Reviews about the film were mostly positive, while everyone noted how wonderful the young Linnaeus played such an emotionally difficult role [5] . Frank Skog believes that his daughter was always more likely to observe than actively act, but it was this feature that became one of the reasons for her successful play in this film [3] .

In March 2017, for this role, Skog received the Jussi national film award in the Best Actress nomination [9] [10] , and the film itself was nominated for the Jussi Prize in nine other nominations, including the Best Film category [ 11] . In November 2017, the film received the Nordic Council Film Award [12] , which is awarded to the best film of the Nordic countries for “creating an artistically original film based on Scandinavian culture”. The jury of the film award, substantiating its decision on the award of the prize, noted that it found in the film “moments of pure energy and cinematic gold” [8] .
Linnaeus admitted in 2016 that she was not used to seeing herself on the screen: there she seemed to herself some kind of new - and even a stranger [4] .
