El-Kamsia ( Arabic: القمصية ) is a small town in the north-west of Syria , located in the territory of Tartus governorate. It is part of the district of Sheikh Badr . It is the center of the same name Nakhi.

Geographical position
The city is located in the north of the central part of the governorate, west of the southern tip of the Ansaria ridge, at an altitude of 508 meters above sea level [1] .
El Kamsia is located approximately 17 kilometers northeast of Tartus , the provincial capital, and 165 kilometers north-northwest (NNW) from Damascus , the country's capital.
Population
According to the 2004 official census, the population of the city was 2,244 people (1,155 men and 1,089 women) [2] . Alavites predominate in the confessional composition of the population [3] .

The nearest civilian airport is Basil Al-Assad International Airport [1] .
