The Vice-President of Equatorial Guinea ( Spanish: Vicepresidente de la República de Guinea Ecuatorial , French Vice-président de la République de Guinée équatoriale , port of Vice Presidente da República da Guiné Equatorial ) is the second largest Republic after President , the Republic of Guy who appoints and removes him from office. Currently, the president has the right to appoint two vice-presidents (the first and second, Spanish Vicepresidente Primero y Vicepresidente Segundo [2] ).

Overview
The post of vice president was established when Equatorial Guinea gained independence on October 12, 1968 in accordance with the 1968 Constitution, which determined that the vice president should come from a different historical region of the country than the president [3] . Since President-elect Francisco Masias Nguema Biyogo came from the province of Rio Muni , Russian was appointed vice president of Edmundo Bossio Dioco was a native of the province of Fernando Po .
Edmundo Bossio retained the post of vice president and after the establishment in 1969 of the actual dictatorship of President Francisco Masias Nguema, de facto heading the government in the Fernando Po region while the president was in the continental region of Rio Muni [4] .
However, in March 1974, Bossio was subjected to house arrest, dismissed from his post and executed in prison Playa Negra February 21, 1975 year. As vice president, he was replaced by Miguel Ehe Ntutumu [5] .
Miguel Ehege was implicated in the attempted coup d'etat of 1976 as a result of which he was dismissed and arrested, after which the post of vice president remained vacant for two years, until in 1978 the president appointed Foreign Minister Bonifacio Nguema Esono Nchama [6] .
After the coup d'etat Organized on August 3, 1979 by the president’s nephew , commander of the National Guard, Lt. Col. Theodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo , the post of vice president was retained as part of the Supreme Military Council ( Spanish Consejo Militar Supremo de Guinea Ecuatorial , originally the Revolutionary Military Council, Spanish Consejo Militar Revolucionario de Guinea Ecuatorial ), which remained the de facto government until the entry into force of the 1982 Constitution . In the Military Council, Foreign Minister Florencio Maye Ela Mange was appointed Vice President [7] .
In the 1982 Basic Law (Constitution), the post of vice president was absent. He reappeared after the constitutional reform of 2011 by amending the basic law (constitution) of 1991 who established the posts of the first and second vice presidents. On May 21, 2012 , Ignacio Milam Tang and the son of President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangu respectively were appointed to them. On June 22, 2016 , the son of the president was appointed to the post of first vice president [8] , while the post of second vice = president remained vacant.
