Rashaida ("Rashaida", Arabic. بني رشيدة , Arabic. الرشايدة ) is an Arabic-speaking people who live mainly in Eritrea and northeastern Sudan . They speak the Hijaz dialect of the Arabic language (a small part knows the tiger ) associated with the Bedouin population of Saudi Arabia .

Rashida migrated from Arabia to Eritrea and Sudan in 1846 as a result of interethnic conflicts in their homeland. Now Rasheida remain the last predominantly nomadic people of Eritrea. The vast majority of ethnic groups belong to the Sunni branch of Islam , only a small proportion are Christian parishioners. “Rasayda” means refugee . The vast majority are illiterate. They are engaged in raising rashida goats and sheep , have income from the sale of jewelry .
