Biography
Born in the family of doctor Christian Pedersen Kirk and his wife Anna Johanna (nee Andersen). He received a law degree and practiced law for some time. Served as a literary critic and journalist. Since 1931 a member of the Communist Party of Denmark . During the years of the occupation of Denmark, in 1941 he was imprisoned in a concentration camp, from where he fled in 1943. Since 1945 - on the staff of the newspaper “ Land og Folk ”.
