Meiji Industrial Revolution Objects: Iron and Steel, Steel, Shipbuilding and Coal ( 明治 日本 の 産業革命 遺産 製 鉄 ・ 鉄 鋼 、 造船 、 石炭 産業 Meiji nihon no sangyoukakumeiisan seitetsu tekkou, UNESCO World Heritage Site ) - consisting of 8 historical sites that played an important role in the industrialization of Japan during the time of Bakumatsu and the Meiji period . These monuments are part of the country's industrial heritage. [1] In 2009, they were inscribed on the preliminary World Heritage List, and in 2015, during the 39th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, they were officially inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
