Biography

Pupil of Dynamo football school in Tallinn , coach - Udo Lokotar. At the adult level, he played in the championship of the Estonian SSR for Dynamo-Copley, became the winner of the championship and the owner of the Republic Cup.

He graduated from the Leningrad State Institute of Physical Culture (1973). Since the 1970s, he worked as a children's coach in Tallinn, began his career in 1973 in a sports school in the Kalinin district of Tallinn. In 1977 he brought the team of the Tallinn Polytechnic Institute to the major league of the championship of the republic.

In 1986, with the children's team, Vigri became the winner of the all-Union tournament “ Leather Ball ”. Later he worked with this team at an adult level. After creating the independent championship of Estonia, he headed the Vigri in the major league in 1992-1993. He again led the revived team in 1996-1999, already in the lower divisions.

In parallel with work in clubs, he worked as a coordinator of youth and youth teams in the Estonian Football Union for more than 10 years. In 1994-1995 he led the youth team of Estonia, under his leadership the team held 13 official matches and lost in all with a total score of 5:50.

In 1999-2001, he worked in the structure of Levadia , including coaching the reserve team. In October-November 2000, during six rounds, he was the head coach of Levadia, the team that season became the champion of Estonia.

In 2001-2008 he worked in the structure of Tallinn " TFMK ".

Among his pupils are the players of the Estonian national team Andrei Borisov , Sergey Pareiko , Dmitry Ustritsky , one of the best scorers of the Estonian championship in history, Andrei Krylov , multiple Estonian champions Igor Bratchuk, Eduard Vinogradov , Dmitry Kirilov, Vyacheslav Kulakov, Vladimir Chelnokov and others.

Shortly before his death, he had an accident, and did not recover from its consequences. He died on August 14, 2012 at the age of 61 [1] [2] . He was buried in Tallinn at the Pärnamäe cemetery.

In 2015, a youth football tournament was held in memory of Eduard Vyrk [3] .
