The 1980 Netherlands International Women's Drafts Championship was held in April in the Lente district of Nijmegen . The system of conducting is circular . 12 participants, the most experienced ones are Barbara Gras (eighth tournament) and Ef Neuvenhuizen (7 tournament).
For the first time, after two second places, Peter Polman won. The champion is 18 years old and she is the youngest winner of the Netherlands women's championship in drafts.
The second is for the first time to Mike Heitmeyer .
Barbara Gras won the bronze for the second time in a row.
