Biography
Yaroslav Pavlovich Alexandrov was born on February 27, 1925 in Kirovabad, Azerbaijan SSR. In 1952 he graduated from the Moscow Conservatory (teacher D.F. Oistrakh ), and in 1955 - he also had graduate school.
In 1952-1974 he was the second violin in the quartet. A. P. Borodin of the Moscow Philharmonic [1] . Rostislav Dubinsky , Dmitry Shebalin , Valentin Berlin performed with him.
Since 1972 he worked as a teacher (since 1977 - associate professor, later - professor) of the Gnesins State Music and Pedagogical Institute . In 1981-1984, he was rector of the Gnesins Music and Pedagogical Institute [2] .
Awards and Prizes
- Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1967).
- State Prize of the RSFSR named after M.I. Glinka (1968) for concert programs (1965-1966) and (1966-1967).
- People's Artist of the RSFSR (1974).
