Vladimir Vladimirovich Vavilov (born November 6, 1953 , Kazan ) is a Russian public figure, Chairman of the Board of the Regional Public Charitable Fund for Helping Children with Leukemia, the Republic of Tatarstan named after Angela Vavilova, Laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation for Outstanding Achievements in Charity 2017 .

Biography
After graduating from high school, he worked as a truck driver, and then as a regular bus [1] .
In 2003, with the support of like-minded people, he created a public charity fund for helping children with leukemia , the basis of which was the money raised for the treatment of Angela’s daughter (1998-2003), whose name the organization bears. [2] .
Since 2010, he began to study the development of palliative care for children in the Republic of Tatarstan , became the chairman of the supervisory board organized by the foundation of the first Kazan Hospice , which has been providing home sick patients since July 2011 , and since February 2013 also stationary palliative care [3] .
During the work under the guidance of VV Vavilov, the foundation organized and carried out numerous charity events aimed at improving the condition of children with cancer and their families, encouraging the volunteer movement [4] .
In 2012, he was awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of Kazan for charitable activities [5]
Since 2013 - Member of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan. He is a member of the Public Council under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Social Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan, a member of the Expert Council under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan. [6] . A candidate for membership in the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation [4] .
In 2014, for kindness, asceticism, and for helping seriously ill children and their families, he was awarded the Prize “His Track” named after V. S. Vysotsky [7] .
In 2017, V.V. Vavilov was awarded the State Prize of the Russian Federation for outstanding achievements in the field of charitable activities [8] .
