Also nearby is bus station No. 2 , from which buses of suburban ( Bogodukhovsky , Valkovsky and Zolochevsky directions) and interregional routes ( Sumy and Poltava regions), as well as a trolleybus (route No. 11) and tram (route No. 7, 12, 20) stops .

Technical Data

Single vault type shallow station. It was put into operation on August 23, 1975 [1] . There are 2 vestibules at the station. On average, the passenger flow per day is 50 thousand people [2] . The track walls are decorated with marble carved compositions on the national Ukrainian theme.

Reconstruction

In the summer of 1996, after heavy rainfall, the groundwater level near the station increased significantly, as a result of which the station was reconstructed, as a result of which the station arch was fortified with columns. The reconstruction was carried out for about a year, while most of the time the station worked in normal mode, with the exception of the reduced speed of electric trains near the station. Thus, at the moment, the Central Market station is a unique single-vault column metro station.
