Description
Station "Industrial" - the final destination of the second stage of the Kholodnogorsk-Zavodskoy line of the Kharkov Metro, behind the station there are 4 dead ends for traffic and sediment trains The design of this station complex has much in common with the Prospect Gagarin station , with the difference that reddish and golden hues prevail here.
The slightly expanding columns are trimmed with pink “Burovschina” marble from the Irkutsk deposit. The same marble was used to finish the plinths of traveling walls and vertical inserts, on which images of a sickle and hammer, made of brass casting, were fixed. The track walls are lined with light gray marble of the Sayano-Shushenskoye deposit, and the walls of the lobbies are covered with Koelga white marble. An interesting geometric pattern of the floor is made of plates of labradorite and red granite. The station hall is lit by fluorescent lamps located between the edges of the floor slabs.
The design of the station includes two thematic decorative and artistic compositions made of ceramics, mounted on the ends of the ceiling above the stairs. True, the western lobby of the station leading to the DSC-1 plants and the 8th GPP was closed in the mid-1990s due to the low passenger traffic. Since March 16, 2009 this lobby has been re-opened.
The eastern lobby is connected with the longest underground passage in Kharkov. Exits from it lead to the Electrotyazhmash plant, the tram line, to the Zavodskaya bus station, and the Losevo-2 railway station. Trolleybus and bus routes bring residents of Rogansky and East residential areas to the station. Thus, the station is one of the largest transport hubs of Kharkov.
