Yamada, Akihiro

Yamaki Akihiro ( 山田 章 博 ) is a Japanese illustrator and mangaka . Born in the city of Koshi on the island of Shikoku , Japan . Now lives in Kyoto . In 1996 received the Seiun Award .

Despite the fact that Akihiro created many manga , he is better known as an illustrator and designer of anime and manga characters. His best works as an illustrator are “十二国記” (The Twelve Kingdoms ) (author Ono Fuyumi ) and “ロ ー ド ス 島 戦 記” ( Notes of the Lodoss War ) (author Ruo Mizuno ). His most famous work as a character designer is the anime series RahXephon . Yamada Akihiro also worked on the design of the film Shinobi: Heart Under Blade .
