Types of switch streets

By design

Unabridged

In uncut short- turn streets, the angle of deviation of the paths is equal to the angle of the cross of the railroad switches constituting the street. This simplifies the installation of connecting paths and reduces the number of curves, however, it significantly lengthens the street with a large number of paths.

Short

In shortened arrow streets, the angle of deviation of the paths is greater than the angle of the cross, which makes it possible to reduce the length of the street with a large number of paths and wide inter-paths.

Combined

Combined arrow streets combine unabridged and shortened parts.

In plan

Simplest Street

Simplest

In the simplest switch streets, the switches are located on the main road. Such streets are used in combination with fan streets in the other neck of the park to obtain the same usable length of all paths (the extreme ones are a bit longer).

Fan switch street

Fan

In the fan- switch streets on the main road, only the first turnout switch is located, and the rest are located on a deviated path, departing from this transfer. Due to this, the paths are obtained straight within their useful lengths and the number of turnouts on the main path is minimized.

Sheet-shaped

In the beam-like arrow streets, the paths converge to the neck of the tree. Such streets are usually arranged in sorting parks .
