The album was released on September 21, 2012 on the musician's own label mau5trap, in the USA and Canada the album was released on Ultra Records , in the UK on Parlophone Records. Unlike previous albums, this one contains more experimental material, in the style of the very first Get Scraped album, Joel emphasized. This album is the last to be released on Ultra Records . In 2013, Joel ended all relationships with this label and tweeted “Fuck You Ultra Records I'm Out” (translated from English - “Fuck Ultra Records, it's over”). [one]

About the album
The album contains 5 singles: “Maths”, “The Veldt”, “Professional Griefers”, “Channel 42”, “Telemiscommunications”. The first single, "Maths", was released on February 17, 2012, but was first introduced back in 2010. Initially, this track was supposed to be included in the 4 × 4 = 12 album, but Joel did not have time to finish the track before the album was released. The second single was the track "The Veldt", which eventually became a hit. Joel found the vocals for this track during a stream on the Livestream website on March 18, 2012. The reaction to the vocals was so sincere and amazing that the fans eventually cut this moment out and posted it separately on YouTube . At the moment, this video has gained 4 million views. [2] The third single was the track "Professional Griefers", first introduced back in early 2011. This song hit the soundtrack of games like FIFA 13 and Asphalt 8: Airborne . Also, this track sounds in the television series " Arrow ". The next single was a collaboration with American DJ and producer Wolfgang Gartner Channel 42. The video clip of this composition is also a promotional video of the Nokia Lumia 920 smartphone. [3] The latest single from the album is “Telemiscommunications”. The first version of this track was provided by Joel back in 2007 on his YouTube channel.
The album was nominated for a Grammy in the category "Best Dance / Electronica Album".
Reviews
On the Metacritic website , the album received a rating of 59 out of 100, and, in general, mixed reviews from critics. On the Canadian chart, the album debuted at number two in its first week with a mark of 13,000 sales. In the Billboard 200 chart, in the first week the album debuted at number six with a mark of 58,000 sales, and at number one in the Dance Albums category. In the UK Albums Chart, the album debuted at number six with a mark of 14,325 sales.
