Indian-Nauruan relations are bilateral relations between Nauru and India . Diplomatic relations between the countries have been established since the independence of Nauru in 1968 .

History
In 1981, the joint Indian-Nauru state-owned company Paradeep Phosphates Ltd. was established. However, in 1993, Nauru abandoned its shares due to losses amounting to $ 63.8 million. President Nauru Bernard Doviigo visited India and held negotiations as a result of which the Indian side bought back a stake in Nauru for the amount of the down payment invested in Nauru. President Nauru Kinza Klodumar visited India in April 1998 to attend the first meeting of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) Assembly. This visit was used for bilateral Indo-Nauru talks [1] . India provides financial assistance to the Ministry of Education of Nauru, at its expense grants are created for students, funds to attract more teachers for schools of the island, computer equipment is bought. In November 2003, the government of Nauru asked India to send a delegation of experts in the field of computer technology, mining, and desalination to the island. In October 2010, President Nauru Marcus Steven visited India, where he attended the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi . The Nauru team participating in the tournament won a gold and silver medal in weightlifting competitions [2] . In 2014, the Australian government secretly transported 157 refugees of Tamil origin from India to a refugee camp in Nauru [3] .
