The Perfect Kill (1988 film)

Police Inspector Ghote lives in Bombay with his wife, Pratimy, the life of an average middle class man. He has been working in the police for many years. His wife is usually unhappy and wants a better life. Ghota is tasked with investigating the killing of a Parsa named Perfect, who was the secretary of Lala Hir Lala, a wealthy man with criminal connections. Inspector Ghote begins the investigation when, to his dissatisfaction, his superiors ask him to work in tandem with the Swedish forensic expert Axel Svennson. Axel wants a closer look at the work of the Bombay police. Over time, the partners come together and Ghote invites a Swedish colleague to his home, where he meets Pratima. The investigation into the murder of the Perfect, although quite simple, takes an unexpected turn for both - leading partners to the corridors of power in which corruption flourishes. Yet Ghote and Axel find and expose the criminals.
