Memorable banknotes of Belarus - memorable banknotes issued by the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus . The first banknote was issued on January 1, 2001 . Due to the denomination of the Belarusian ruble in 2016, memorable banknotes were divided into old and new ones. The old ones are issued in the period from 2001 to 2016, and the new ones - from 2016.

At the moment there are 4 series of memorable banknotes:

  • 10th anniversary of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus;
  • "Millennium";
  • Castle complex "Mir" ;
  • National Bank of the Republic of Belarus. 20 years;
  • “Maya Krajina - Belarus”.

All banknotes are issued in a special symbolic package booklet. Implemented only on the territory of Belarus. Mailing within and outside the territory of the Republic of Belarus is not performed. All memorable banknotes are the official legal money of the Republic of Belarus.

Millennium Series

Banknotes of a special issue of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus are dedicated to the third millennium [3] . All of them were released on October 1, 2001 with a circulation of 2,500 copies. Commemorative banknotes in denominations of 20, 50, 100, 500, 1,000, 5,000 and 10,000 rubles of the current banknote series are redeemed with a special inscription-stamp “MILLENNIUM” located on the coupon field of the reverse side. On banknotes in 1, 5 and 10 rubles this stamp is absent. Banknotes are bundled with the same serial numbers “аа 0000001 - аа 0002500” and packed in a special envelope.

All banknotes are executed in the “Sample” state [4] [5] .

Series “My country is Belarus”

Memorable banknotes “My Country - Belarus” ( Belor. Maya Krajina - Belarus ) are similar to those of the 2009 sample with denominations of 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 rubles, but have a special series and number. Banknotes were issued on July 15, 2016 with a circulation of 999 copies.

The named banknotes are combined into a set of one banknote of each nominal value and enclosed in a special packing booklet. The banknotes of the set have the same numbers (0000001—0001000), the letter designation of the series on banknotes: 5 rubles - AC, 10 rubles - BC, 20 rubles - SS, 50 rubles - NA, 100 rubles - EU, 200 rubles - COP, 500 rubles - MS.
