USSR Ice Hockey Championship 1948/1949

The third USSR ice hockey championship was played from December 12, 1948 to February 26, 1949. Competitions were held in 2 circles. Spartak Kaunas, who finished last in the previous draw, left the championship, he was replaced by the winner of the second group, Chelyabinsk Dzerzhinets . The winner for the second time in a row was the CDKA , the Leningrad Dzerzhinets left the first group.

In the second group, competitions were held in two zones with the participation of 12 teams: GOMZ, DO, SKIF and Spartak (all - Leningrad), Lokomotiv (Moscow), Torpedo (Gorky), DO (Riga), Dynamo (Sverdlovsk), Dzerzhinets (Nizhny Tagil), Spartak (Voronezh), Spartak (Minsk), Stalin Plant (Molotov). According to the results of the final bullet, a ticket to the first group was won by Lokomotiv.

On February 12, 1949, in a match between CSKA and Spartak Moscow, Vsevolod Bobrov scored 8 goals.
