De Pau, Claudine

Claudine De Pauw ( Dutch: Claudine De Pauw ; February 28, 1951 , Blankenberge , Belgium ) - Flemish painter and sculptor , works with watercolors, acrylics, oil and graphics. Created a series of landscapes of marshy and coastal landscapes of West Flanders and Normandy . Fantastic creatures often appear in paintings by Claudine De Pau, both woven into a realistic landscape and works that come to the fore.

Biography

Claudine De Pau was born in Blankenberg on February 28, 1951 and currently lives near Bruges . She received her art education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bruges, and then at the Royal Academy of Ghent, where she studied with Paul Van Gijzegem and Frans Valravens. In 1974 she received the Prize in the field of sculpture of the province of West Flanders, and in 1975 - the Prize in the field of painting. Claudine De Pau's works can be seen at the Mu.ZEE Museum in Ostend and at the Gruning Museum in Bruges .
