USSR Ice Hockey Championship 1946/1947

The first USSR hockey championship was played from December 22, 1946 to January 26, 1947 . The championship included two stages: preliminary games in three subgroups consisting of four teams, and the final tournament. The winners of the subgroups were the clubs TsDKA , Moscow “Dinamo” and “Spartak” Moscow , which formed the final group, which won prizes. The games were held on natural ice. The championship reached its highest intensity during the days of the final games at the Dynamo stadium in Moscow. In the first round of the main final, the army team defeated both rivals and scored 4 points, and Spartak - 2. The home team of the ice - Dynamo, both meetings lost. However, the second round brought two victories to Dynamo, and CDKA lost both matches. All three teams had 4 points each, and to identify the first champion of the USSR, they had to count goals and missed goals. The winner was the Moscow Dynamo . The tournament for 4-7 places, in which 4 teams met, was held in Riga and ended with the victory of the local team.

Final

The teams that took second places in the subgroups and the team of the city of Kaunas in the one-round tournament played places from 4 to 7.

The winners of the subgroups in Moscow in the two-round tournament played the championship medals. Since each team won and lost twice, the champion was determined by the difference of goals scored and missed goals.
