Biography
Born on September 26, 1898 in the city of Foca (now the Republika Srpska , Bosnia and Herzegovina ). Parents - Franciszek Krzyсяyak (adviser to the Lviv Voivodeship) and Vincentina Falskaya. She graduated from the classical gymnasium in Lviv, a participant in the Soviet-Polish war (she worked at the dressing station in Lviv Podzamche ). She graduated from Lviv University (Faculty of Physics), worked as an assistant at the Institute of Physics. Teacher of mathematics and physics at the school of sisters Notre Dame in Lviv.
During the Second World War, Zofia served in the Regional Army and was a member of the Union of Armed Forces . Communications officer in the Lviv district of AK, head of the communications department of the Lviv district of AK, secretary Stefan Balitsky (head of the education department in the Council of the Lviv district of AK). Organized secret courses. After the war, she hid from the authorities of the NDP in Krakow , in March 1948 she was arrested and sentenced to 12 years in prison for cooperation with the Army Craiova. In 1953 she was released, in 1956 she was completely acquitted and rehabilitated.
Been married since 1928 to Vladislav Orlicz , professor of mathematics at Lviv and Poznan universities, a member of the Polish Academy of Sciences. She was awarded the Order of Virtuti Militari V class (in 1965), three times with the Cross of the Brave and the Cross of the Regional Army.
Died on November 5, 1999 in Poznan.
