Biography
Vladimir Khrapkov was born on April 19, 1955 [1] in the village of Pokrovsky , Kamensky District , Sverdlovsk Region .
In 1972 he graduated from Pokrovsky secondary school, in 1973 he entered the Lviv military-political school at the faculty of cultural and educational work [2] .
After graduating from college in 1978 and receiving the military rank of lieutenant , Khrapkov was appointed to the post of instructor of the officer club. Then he held various posts on the ascending line in military cultural institutions.
In 1983, V. B. Khrapkov, as a cultural adviser, performed combat missions in the Syrian Arab Republic , as part of a group of Soviet military specialists , for which he was awarded the Syrian state award - the “For Training” medal .
In 1993 , as the deputy chief of the garrison House of Officers of the 10th Special Purpose Air Defense Corps [3] [4], Major Khrapkov took part in the competition of the Russian Ministry of Defense for the creation of new symbols of the combat arms and types of the Armed Forces, in which he won the nomination "New Symbol of the Troops Air Defense ”, which determined his further creative fate as a heraldist .
In 1994, Khrapkov became part of the heraldry and symbolism department of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation . While working as part of the department, he made a significant contribution by actively participating in activities related to fulfilling the tasks of heraldic support of the RF Armed Forces, conducting heraldic examination of projects and samples of flags, insignia, and insignia of belonging to military units and units. During the work, Khrapkov created and approved a huge number of heraldic symbols, including the sleeve insignia of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces - the President of the Russian Federation [5] .
Khrapkov’s contribution to military music is also invaluable. In 2000 , as an officer of the Expert Analytical Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Colonel Khrapkov initiated the creation and headed the Center for the Military Song of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation created by Order of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation on April 22, 2000 [6] . The center was held with the active support of the head of the Expert and Analytical Department of the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces, Lieutenant General A. Yu. Savin , the leadership of the Main Directorate of Educational Work of the RF Armed Forces : Lieutenant General V. N. Buslovsky and Major General N. I. Efimov. The first in Russia museum of military song and music was created on the basis of the War Song Center, and Khrapkov was also appointed head of it.
Vladimir Khrapkov created four brass and two pop orchestras, three ensembles of Russian folk instruments and 11 vocal-instrumental and even soldier jazz dixieland. The creative teams led by him repeatedly took prizes in competitions and festivals of a high level, performed at prestigious stage venues of the Armed Forces and Moscow. He himself, as a member of concert brigades, performed during exercises at training grounds, in "hot spots" and hospitals [7] .
Colonel Khrapkov graduated from the army in 2005 — head of the culture department of the Main Directorate for Educational Work of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation .
Currently ( 2017 ) he is the head of the military-patriotic song group of the culture department - the head of the Museum of Military Song and Music of the Central House of the Russian Army named after MV Frunze , the art director and soloist of the Golden Stars military pop ensemble [8] .

- The author-performer of his own songs created in various genres. The songs of Vladimir Khrapkov were also performed by the People's Artist of the Russian Federation Valentina Tolkunova , in the repertoire of the national artists of Russia: Eduard Labkovsky, theater and film artist Alexander Mikhailov , Alexander Buynov , Emin Babayev, as well as song and dance ensembles of the Airborne Forces, Strategic Rocket Forces, Red Star, VKS and other groups and performers.
- The author of many military heraldic symbols, emblems, emblems, dozens of medals and commemorative signs [9] .
- The author of the project of the monument "Defenders of the Airborne Frontiers of the Fatherland" installed in the General Staff of the Air Force.
