History

The pavilion was built in 1953-1954 by the project of the architect V.M. Margulis and was originally a playpen for displaying farm animals (mainly horses ). The building was built in the functionalist style, in terms of a round, completed by a dome, with a rectangular annexe glazed around the perimeter. The entrance to the playpen was originally decorated with monuments to horses to the Square and the Symbol. In 1959, the playpen was turned into an exhibition pavilion of the relevant subject. At first, the exposition “Feed” was shown here, and in 1964 the profile was expanded, and it was called “Horse breeding”. She was devoted to the methods and achievements in the Soviet horse breeding, special attention was paid to equestrian sport. The exposition also included an additional small pavilion (building 550), where Astrakhan camels were displayed. In the post-Soviet years, the exposition was abolished, and shops were located in the pavilion. Currently, the pavilion is not valid [2] .
