Biography
Robert Harris was born in the English city of Nottingham . He graduated from Selwyn College in Cambridge . He worked as a BBC journalist and political editor of The Observer , The Sunday Times and The Daily Telegraph .
Originally wrote nonfiction books. His first entertaining novel turned out to be Vaterland , an alternative story in which Germany won the Second World War . He turned out to be a bestseller . Since then, Harris continues to write books, many of which have already been successfully filmed.
He now lives in Berkshire with his wife, Jill Hornby, also a writer, and four children.
