Dalkut ( Arabic. ضلكوت ) is a small town in the south-west of Oman , in the territory of the Dhofar governorate . The administrative center of Dalkut vilayet. The population for 2010 was 875 people [1] .

Geographical position
The city is located in the southwestern part of the governorate, on the shores of the Arabian Sea . The absolute height is 0 meters above sea level [2] . Dalkut is located approximately 87 kilometers west-southwest (WSW) of Salalah , the administrative center of the governorate and 923 kilometers south-west of Muscat , the capital of the country.
Climate
The city’s climate is characterized as arid hot ( BWh in the Köppen climate classification ). The average annual temperature is 25.4 ° C. The average temperature of the coldest month (January) is 21.1 ° C, the hottest month (June) is 29.4 ° C. The estimated multi-year rainfall is 56 mm [3] .

The nearest civil airport is in the city of Salalah [2] .
