Biography
George Adrianovich Deisha was born in 1917 in Moscow. The son of the famous hydraulic scientist Adrian Vasilyevich Deishi and Elena Albertovna Deishi , nee Repman, better known under the pseudonym pseudonym George Peskov.
In 1924, his father, a professor at the Institute of Railways , was sent on a business trip to Paris , where he went with the whole family, and did not return to Soviet Russia. George Deisha studied in Paris at the Sorbonne, where he began to study the crystallization of gypsum in the Paris basin and wrote a Ph.D. thesis on this topic. Continuing his research, he begins to study and interpret primary fluid inclusions in minerals and rocks, a topic that was then very little developed.
Scientific career
In the Laboratory of Applied Geology of Paris, he developed various technical tools for detecting, observing and analyzing inclusions, such as, for example, crushing under a microscope. In 1960, at the International Geological Congress in Copenhagen, Deisha, together with Edwin V. Rodder (USA) and Nikolai P. Ermakov (USSR), created the Commission on Ore Forming Fluids in Investments (COFFI). In 1962, he participated in the development of electronic fractography. The term "Deixi technique" is used now, in particular, in Russian technical literature. George Deisha was elected an Honorary Member of the Russian Society of Mineralogy and Crystallography in 1999 [1] .
George Deixa's centenary was celebrated in 2017 in Nancy at the European Biennial ECROFI Fluid Inclusion Convention and in various publications
Artistic activities
In addition to scientific activities, Georgy Deixa was fond of bas-relief sculpture. The medals of his work with the profiles of V. Agafonov , P. Milyukov are known, Leon Bertrand , Ami Bue , Louis Barrabe , Pierre Prevost , Raymond Furon also became the prototypes for the bas-reliefs. Most of these medals were minted as awards of the French Geological Society .
