Biography

Born April 24, 1857 . After graduating from the Polotsk military gymnasium in 1875, he entered the Nikolaev Cavalry School , after which in 1877 he graduated from the 1st category, was released by the ensign into the Dragoon Life Guards Regiment , the cornet of the guard. Since 1878, the lieutenant of the guard. Since 1883, the staff captain of the guard was renamed captain of the General Staff.

In 1885, V.I. Yurkovsky graduated from the General Staff Academy of Nikolaev at the 1st rank and was assigned to the General Staff , and was appointed to be a member of the Omsk Military District . In 1902 he was appointed chief of staff of the Novogeorgievsky fortress . In 1906 he was appointed commander of the 48th Infantry Reserve Brigade , enlisted in the lists of the General Staff. In 1907 he was promoted to lieutenant general and appointed commandant of the Ivangorod fortress . Since 1910 he was appointed by the Highest Order as the Brest-Litovsk commandant , and in 1913 he was promoted to general from infantry [1] .
