Escher is located on the outskirts of London and with the House of Commons in its southern part, the city marks one limit of the development zone with most of London. Escher has a linear shopping main street and in other respects suburban in density, with variable elevations, several high-rise buildings and very short parts of a two-way road in the administrative district of the city. Escher covers a large area, between 13 and 15.4 miles southwest of Charing Cross Street. In the south, it is bounded by the Portsmouth A3 motorway, which has an urban highway standard and is buffered by the Escher Commons.
Escher is bisected by the A307, historically Portsmouth Road, which approximately 1 mile (1.6 km) forms its main street. The Escher train station (served by the Southwest Main Line) connects the city with London's Waterloo. Sandown Park track is located in the city near the station.
The Clermont Landscape Garden, located in the south, belongs to the National Trust, for some time the garden served as the British home of Princess Charlotte and her husband, Leopold I, King of Belgium . Soon, the city was chosen for the construction of the Queen Victoria Fountain with an adjoining column with a monarch relief and crowned with a statue of Britain.
