Biography

Rimma Markova was born in the village of Churino in the Samara province in the family of actor Vasily Demyanovich and make-up artist Maria Petrovna Markov.

In 1931 - 1934 she played children's roles in the performances of the Saratov Drama Theater , where her father served.

The family also had a son, Leonid , who was 2 years younger than Rimma.

In 1945 - 1947 she studied in the studio at the Vologda Drama Theater , where she entered with her brother Leonid Markov . Later she served in the Theater. Lenin Komsomol in Moscow [5] .

From 1971 to 1992 - actress of the Studio Theater of the film actor .

In 2011, she participated in the election campaign of the Just Russia party before the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

On December 10 of the same year, at the 6th Congress of Just Russia, party leader S. M. Mironov , nominated as a candidate for the post of President of the Russian Federation, suggested to Rimma Markova to head his campaign headquarters [6] .

Sickness and death

On October 14, 2014, Rimma Markova was taken to the intensive care unit of the Moscow City Clinical Hospital named after S.P. Botkin with an emergency surgical diagnosis. Later, for further treatment, she was transferred to the surgical department [7] . On January 2, 2015, the 89-year-old actress became ill due to an exacerbation of a chronic disease, and she was urgently taken to the Botkin Hospital.

On the morning of January 15, 2015, the artist died in the 90th year of her life from heart failure [8] . Farewell to Rimma Markova took place on January 17. There was no official requiem, at the request of the actress herself. On the same day, the actress was buried in the Nikolo-Arkhangelsk cemetery [9] .
