History

The monthly pedagogical magazine for educators "Kindergarten" was published in St. Petersburg every month from 1866 to 1876 . Since 1869 he came out with the subtitle “Pedagogical Journal for Parents, Mentors and Teachers”.

Published and edited the magazine A. Simonovich. Since 1869, she published the magazine of E. Borozdin, edited by V. Tolmachev. Since 1873, the publisher is V. Uggla.

"Kindergarten" was devoted mainly to the issues of education of young children. The magazine proved the need for collective education of children in kindergartens and the benefits of such education over home. In addition to pedagogical articles and medical advice, the magazine contained short stories for young children, handicrafts, descriptions of children's games, and a pedagogical bibliography. The magazine also had an older department.

The magazine was attended by: M. Artemyev, E. Borozdin, G. Zhuk, E. Konradi, O. N. Popov and others.

Since 1877 he appeared under the title " Education and Training ."
