History
The breech village Rakhmanovka is mentioned in the List of Populated Places of the Russian Empire according to information for 1859. The village belonged to the Nikolaevsk district of the Samara province . The village was inhabited by 829 men and 748 women, there were a church and a college, and a fair was held [3] . According to the List of Populated Places of the Samara Province, according to information for 1889, Rakhmanovka is a volost village of Rakhmanovskaya volost . The village had 2065 inhabitants. The allotment of land, common with the village of Malaya Tarasovka , is 10151 tithes of comfortable and 1708 tithes of uncomfortable land, there were a church, parish government, a local school, a reception room, a magistrate, a doctor, a local station, 1 steam and 10 windmills , 3 fairs were held [ 4] . According to the List of Populated Places of the Samara Province in 1910, the village was inhabited by former state peasants , Russian , Orthodox, 1209 men and 1390 women, in the village there were volost government , church, district school , emergency room , 7 windmills, worked as a doctor, paramedic , midwife , veterinarian , 2 fairs were held, on Saturdays - bazaars. The allotment of land is 7352 tithes of comfortable and 2041 tithes of uncomfortable land [6] .
Physical-geographical characteristic
The village is located in the Volga region , on the left bank of the Kamelik River . In the north-east is bordered by the village of Malaya Tarasovka [7] . The height of the center of the settlement is 35 meters above sea level [8] . The terrain is flat. Soils: in the floodplain Kamelika - floodplain neutral and slightly acid, higher up the slope - chernozem solonetsous [9] .
The village is located 46 km in a straight line to the east of the district center of the city of Pugachev . On roads, the distance to the district center is 52 km, to the regional center of the city of Saratov - 290 km, to Samara - 230 km [10] .
